PRINCE OF PEACE
There was a time, when it was taught,
By everyone, who was blood bought,
That Jesus was the Prince of Peace,
Incredibly those days have ceased.
*
No more is war considered sin,
Oh frightful days we’re living in,
A call for war, by those who feign,
To follow God, in Jesus name.
*
Is it because the screams and cries,
They do not hear when someone dies,
Or see the child, forever maimed,
I fear their hands with blood are stained.
*
Atoning blood, Christ crucified,
A substitute, ‘twas Him who died,
For mankind’s sin, redeeming love,
The Spirit, gentle, as a dove.
*
Saviour, Helper, God of healing,
Bread of life, His comfort bringing,
Binder of the broken hearted,
For this truth, were many martyred.
*
Consuming love, God of mercy,
Living waters, for the thirsty,
‘Tis Jesus Word, by Him was sown,
Love others as you love your own.

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
