I’m not really comfortable around pets, maybe because I wasn’t around animals during my growing up years. But Nay Nay I loved.
An answered prayer, Nay was adopted from an animal shelter nine years ago. That was her name at the shelter. She wasn’t in the best of health, but loved ones of mine took her home, and they loved and nursed her back to health and happiness.
She was a good dog, a friendly dog, and a good pet. Well, Nay’s time on this earth is now over. Sad. We’ll miss her a lot. It makes me think that we too, one by one, will reach the end of our days, and we too will no longer be on this earth. We are all but dust.
Here’s a little poem I wrote, remembering Nay Nay …
On this the day that Nay Nay went …
We will remember time we spent …
And all the joy she brought our hearts
Though this sad day we are to part
An answered prayer from God above
A little dog for us to love
She has a place inside our heart
A memory that won’t depart
Her time upon this earth is done
Sweet little Nay, sweet little one,
The Lord, He gives and takes away
We bless His Name in all His ways
