MAYBE SOMEDAY

I wrote this poem after a visit with my son and his wife …

MAYBE SOMEDAY

A heart filled with God’s Spirit yearns,

As never did before,

For saving grace to touch lost souls,

And see them lost no more.

*

Longing for sinners to be saved,

Filled with the Holy Ghost,

Know Jesus as their Savior, Lord,

That’s what we want the most.

*

Just think of what it would be like,

To hear of some new birth,

A thought that’s just too wonderful,

The greatest news on earth.

*

Oh glorious redemption song,

It’s our desire to sing,

Rejoicing that another soul,

Has come to Christ our King.

*

Salvation’s song, expressed with joy,

Heard in this weary land,

Bathing a soul with peaceful bliss,

A mercy from God’s hand.

*

Sharing God’s word, praying we wait,

How long, we cannot say,

Hearts always filled, with this one hope,

God knows, maybe someday.

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
