ENDURING LOVE

I wrote this poem as I was thinking about “why” we love …

ENDURING LOVE

Will you love me still tomorrow,
If then I had no gift to bring?
Would you love me if in sorrow,
I bid you come with me and sing?

For this life is so uncertain,
We do not know what lies ahead,
Only at the feet of Jesus,
Can we secure our weary head.

Will you love me still tomorrow,
If then all earthly pleasures cease?
Would you love me if in sorrow,
I bid you come and share my peace?

Job 1:21 Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
